DEI Initiatives and Event Planning
The Minnesota Chapter of the FBA strives to plan events that are diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Below are resources to help Chapter members incorporate DEI considerations when planning events.
Strategic Plan for Diversity & Inclusion
The Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association is committed to maintaining a culture that respects, values, and includes all individuals in the Association, the legal profession, and the justice system, regardless of their various unique differences. To support that commitment, the Chapter developed and adopted a Strategic Plan for Diversity & Inclusion 2020 and Beyond which sets forth the Chapter's diversity and inclusion goals in five different areas. Access the strategic plan HERE.
DEI Event Guide
A checklist of DEI considerations around event content, timing, location, and communications to keep in mind as you're planning your next Chapter event. Access the checklist HERE.
Community Calendar for Minnesota Bar Associations and Affiliates
This is a community calendar for affinity and affiliate bar events, and an accompanying set of guidelines for using the calendar. The calendar is maintained by the MSBA, HCBA, and RCBA’s Director of Equity and Inclusion, in partnership with the FBA's Affinity Bar Liaison Coordinator. Use this calendar to help efficiently schedule and deconflict your event.

The calendar is accessible HERE, and the calendar guidelines are HERE.

You can also subscribe to the calendar HERE, which we recommend so you’ll have constant access directly on your calendar.
Online Communications Request Form
The Chapter's Digital Communications Committee can help you get your event onto the Chapter's events calendar and publicize your event through email and social media. Use this form to provide the DCC with information about your event. Access the form HERE.
